
Olivia Burgess is a French American photographer, filmmaker, instillation and performing artist currently based in London. She is also an internationally acclaimed model who‘s work in front of the camera has informed and refined her creative vision, instilling a profound desire to question prevailing narratives. Her work goes beyond the tangible, aiming to transcend materiality and re-establish a connection between audiences and the fundamental aspects of our humanity. Through carefully crafted instillations and live performances, Olivia delves into the intricate realms of the human experience and challenges the conventional boundaries of spectatorship. Her work dynamically engages the body and mind, prompting introspection and probing into the evolving relationship between societal dynamics and our self-perception. Olivia holds a Masters in interaction design from UAL’s London College of Communication and a BFA in dance performance from Fordham University and the esteemed Ailey School. She has exhibited at Ars Electronica, the University of the Arts London, Gallery Kollectiff and Rockaway Beach Club. Her award winning documentary short ‘Rebirth’ recently celebrated premieres at Dances With Film NY, Cine Paris Film Festival, New Renaissance Film Festival NL and Fisheye Film Festival UK
